Nick Jonas might appear for several times on your Instagram and Twitter feeds lately. Following his engagement to Priyanka Chopra, the singer becomes a hot topic for everyone: from those dejected huge fans to the media all over the world.  Celebrating his 26th birthday today, here are some things you need to know about the heartthrob, NICK JONAS.

1. N for Nicholas Jerry Jonas

That is his complete name. He was born in Dallas, Texas on 16 September 1992, and grew up in New Jersey. Jonas started his career as a singer when he released his first single in 2002, while his first studio album named Nicholas Jonas was launched in 2005. Afterward, he formed a band with his brothers that raise his name to fame for years. He also formed another band in the late 2009 called Nick Jonas and The Administration when the band of brothers was in hiatus. Now that the bands called off, Jonas continues his career in music as a solo singer and creates collaborations with a number of famous singers. Some of his well-known songs are Jealous, Chains, Find You, Close, and the recently released single entitled Right Now in which he teams up with Robin Schulz.

2. I for International Sex Symbol

Nick Jonas grew up from a shy, cute little boy to a hunk that melts every girl heart. His name was listed on the tenth People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2015 and OK! list of Sexiest Man Alive in 2014. Additionally, he became the model for magazine covers such as Men’s Fitness, Flaunt, and Out by showing off his athletic figure. He often shows off his biceps through his instagram account as well. Judging by his appearances, there is no doubt that he gets the title as International Sex Symbol.

That is his answer when he was interviewed by People Magazine, “They call me the President or Mr. President. But, that’s only when I get in my president mode. I just act like a boss sometimes,” he said. And the ‘joke’ on being called as president has actually become a topic since he is considered to have the dream to be the real president of USA.

4. Kind-hearted Guy 

Nick Jonas was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was just 13 years old. However, that does not stop him to pursue his career and help the others who suffers from the same condition. He co-founded a non-profit organization called Beyond Type 1 for raising the awareness of the diabetes itself, building a community for the type 1 diabetic as well as giving supports for them to get the cure. Besides, he also supports The Change for Children Awareness and becomes the ambassador with Bayer Diabetes Care.

5. J stands for JONAS BROTHERS!

Here, it is previously mentioned that Nick Jonas formed a band with his brothers in 2005. This band of brothers is called the Jonas Brothers. Some of you might familiar with the group since it is one of the top bands of the era. He along with his brothers, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas wrote five albums and won a hell of a lot awards such as American Music Awards for T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist category. They also nominated for Best New Artist in Grammy Awards 2009. The Jonas Brothers is known for their song called S.OS, Burning Up, Paranoid, and L.A. Baby. Unfortunately, the glory of this American pop punk band had come to an end. In 2013, they announced the break up news and since then the members have been going on their separate ways in pursuing their own careers.

Nick Jonas is a big fan of New York Yankee. Sometimes he is spotted either attending the Yankee game or wearing the baseball team’s hat while strolling around the city. Even if he is not a musician, he would love to be a baseball player. Besides baseball, Nick's been keen on playing golf.

8. Acting is in his blood

Before the fame as a singer, Nick Jonas has performed in some Broadway stages at the age of seven. The first role he got was as Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol. Later on, his name has been credited for some Broadway shows such as Les Miserables, Hairspray, and How to Success in Business without Really Trying in which he replaced Daniel Radcliffe. Along with his brothers, he starred in Disney musical film Camp Rock and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. The brothers also created their own series aired by Disney that are Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream (2008-2010) and Jonas (2009 - 2010). On the big screen, he joined the cast of a movie entitled Careful What You Wish For in 2005 and the recent Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in 2017.

9. Soon to be a husband

After dating for a couple months, the curly-haired guy has engaged to an Indian-Hollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra on 18 August 2018. Despite the 10 years age differences between this infatuated partner, Jonas and Chopra seems get along really well. Recently, he celebrated his 26th birthday with friends including his fiancee in a Baseball game at Angel Stadium, California. Before he settled down, Jonas dated some top celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Delta Goodrem, and the Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo.
